Parking Features of the 2018 Ford ExplorerApr 10th, 2020
For those who seek to enjoy the moment. Always unstoppable. Find out what puts the 2018 Ford Explorer into a class of its own.
Parallel parking is simple with Available Active Park Assist. While driving slowly, the Explorer uses ultrasonic sensors to scan for an appropriate space and signals when it finds one. With the system engaged, you can control the shifting, accelerating, and braking while the Explorer steers you into the space automatically.
Available Enhanced Active Park Assist helps make perpendicular parking easy. Using ultrasonic sensors, the Explorer scans the parking space to see if you’ll fit. If the space is suitable, the SUV helps you back into the spot by controlling the steering automatically. All you have to do is shift, accelerate, and brake.
Park Out Assist
Explorer can steer you out of tight spots with Available Park Out Assist. Simply press the button and Explorer will give you re-assuring instructions on shifting, moving forward, and moving back while the SUV steers you out of your space automatically. You just have to accelerate and brake.
Side Parking Sensor
Explorer keeps you aware of your precise surroundings with available Side Parking Sensor. If you get too close to an object on either side of you, Explorer provides a warning.
Front 180-Degree Camera
Explorer helps you see around corners, down alleys, and out of parking spaces while driving at slow speeds. The available front camera sees 180 degrees from the left to the right and then projects the view on your in-dash screen.
