Are you in the market for a new or used vehicle?
Before signing on the dotted line, spend time researching what you are looking for, visit your local dealership and speak with a Sales Representative about taking a test drive.
Here are our tips for test driving a new vehicle.
Make a List of Your Wants & Needs
Take the time to sit down and write a list of everything you want and need in a vehicle. This can include colour, size, specialty features, safety options etc. Order the items on your list from most important to least important. This list will come in handy when it comes time to meeting with your Sales Representative.
Do Your Research
Before visiting Discovery Ford, research different Ford vehicles that are of interest to you. Understanding what you like and dislike will help you narrow down your choices.
Look for Comfort
When taking a test drive, think about comfort. If you are someone who spends a lot of time in your vehicle, comfort is a necessity. Take time to sit in the passenger seats and pay attention to things like leg room and how the controls work.
Drive Multiple Vehicles
Take multiple vehicles for a test drive so that you can compare them and better understand what you like and what you dislike. It’s important not to rush your decision.
Ask your Sales Rep questions, after all, they are the experts. It’s their job to get you in the vehicle best suited for your lifestyle.
Reflect on Your Drive
Take some time post test drive to reflect about the experience. If you take a family member or friend with you on the test drive, ask them for their opinion. They may have noticed something that you have missed.
